- Training FO and Training Captain on different types
- Active Training Captain B747
- More than 20 years as internal and external auditor

- More than 12 years as part of the management team, being responsible for internal and external auditing and harmonization of Group Safety- and Compliance Monitoring Management processes and standards
Volker always wanted to become a pilot. After military service as a paratrooper, the decision was made in favor of civil aviation and in 1995 he started as a first officer on a Boeing 737. After 3 years, he became an instructor on this type, before getting to know other types with B747 and A320. In addition to being an instructor, he presented seminars and training courses. More than 20 years ago, he started his training as an auditor and changed to 50% in a secondary function in Compliance Monitoring Management. In addition to a lot of auditing in the own company, auditing and assessment of partner airlines increasingly came to the fore. After becoming part of the management team, he was responsible for the Compliance Monitoring Management for a total of 12 years and noticeably developed both internal and external auditing. For the last 5 years, a group-wide responsibility for the harmonization and further development of the Safety and Compliance Monitoring Management was added. Getting to know the different approaches and strategies of a wide variety of airlines, evaluating the results in a team with other specialists with regard to individual risk exposure, and then discussing options for risk mitigation still holds an immense fascination for him even after so many years.
